We woke up very early for a 7am pick up outside our backpackers in Cairns where we were introduced to Cousin Kye driving Uncle brian's Tour bus. We then met Elmo, his little friend, that waved to all of the road side service people. Initially, it felt like we were on the sunshine bus and off to the nut house, but after a while we were all singing along to the likes of "we all live in a yellow submarine"! There were 11 people in total on our tour to the Atherton Tablelands - the area beyond the mountains surrounding Cairns.

Throughout the day we visited Josephine Falls, the Mossman Gorge, the Mila Mila Falls ( where they shot the Timotei advert).

Throughout the day we saw many strange things including the waves that the road service men gave us.
We stopped in the evening at a platypus viewing area, unfortunately it was raining far too much so we didn't see any although - we saw an elderly caterpillar lady in red rubber gloves who our bus driver told us to wave to! All very strange...
