We found a free site not far from the sea and two English campervans. Beseiged by yet more storms we waited in for a break in the rain. We went for a quick ride along the sea front stopping for a lunchtime pizza and a walk out to sea on the new pier.

We had decided we had better press on, wanting to get to France and back to civilisation. We got on the motorway and sped past Monaco. We drove through Nice during rush hour having taken a wrong turn but eventually came across many other motorhomes parked up on the sea front.
